The live homework assistance is available through the Howard County Public Library seven days a week from 2:00 pm through 11:55 pm, Eastern time. Students seeking to improve their skills, can use the service as often as they wish and receive help in math, reading, science, social studies, English/language arts, and writing.
Connecting to a tutor is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Students simply:
Enter their library card number on the Remote Patron Authentication screen.
Select a grade level.
Select a subject: math, reading, science, social studies, English/language arts, and writing.
Students are then immediately connected to a tutor in the Online Classroom where they can chat, co-browse the Web and share files such as essays or reports, or work in the interactive white board which features a suite of robust drawing and math tools. Students who create a login can connect to their favorite tutors and review past sessions whenever they wish. All students can print their sessions and share them with a teacher, parent or guardian.
