As always, FQMS Administration wants to be as accessible as possible to support our families. You are more than welcome to reach out to Mrs. Chrobak directly regarding the Instructional Model Survey that families are completing in HCPSS Connect.
Mrs. Chrobak is also offering office hours to answer questions about the survey, or support with technical issues on Thursday, February 4th between 8-8:30 am or Noon-12:45 pm by joining the meeting via this link: https://meet.google.com/agn-uyvr-rvj. Also, another great resource regarding in person return is the FAQ Document found here: https://help.hcpss.org/in-person-students. Stay Safe and Warm! We can't wait to welcome you to the Falcon Family. This virtual orientation session is designed for parents/guardians of students who will be attending 6th grade at FQMS next year.

If you have any questions, please contact Megan Chrobak at Megan_Chrobak@hcpss.org. FQMS administration acknowledges how incredibly hard the FQMS staff works on a daily basis. Although the virtual environment is different, their dedication is a constant reminder of our values as a connected, collective community and of pulling together as a school family. From working to go above and beyond to ensure students have great experiences to standing in the pouring rain to get out supplies for our kids - we are lucky to have the FQMS teachers and staff. Please take a minute to share some positive encouragement for staff members that make a positive impact for you or your family. To uplift any FQMS staff member who goes above and beyond to support, show care, connect, build community or anything else that positively impacts students and families, click on this link. This form goes to FQMS Administration for us to celebrate the staff member.

FQMS PTA is pleased to announce that going forward, your PTA membership will be managed via MemberHub. We have said goodbye to our trusted old platform that was used in the recent past! Please visit MemberHub to join, securely purchase your membership and make a donation, and activate your MemberHub account, and if you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please check out our new Volunteer Opportunities. The 2020-21 school year may look a little different, but the PTA needs your support now more than ever. We hope you will join us! “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” – John C. MaxwellMrs. Allen, our current PTA President, will no longer be able to continue in her role this academic year. We are looking for someone to assume her role. The Presidents' position is a great way to get to know staff, and other parents in the community. The PTSA has a fabulous team in place ready for a great leader! The only downside of the role is the lack of programming the PTSA can do is drastically limited due to the current pandemic. Unfortunately, without the President in place, the PTA can't function properly. Please contact the PTSA for more information: fqmspta.president@gmail.com.

We hope you are safe and healthy. We are all looking forward to returning to school when it is safe to do so. Currently, the school is being completely sanitized and the FQMS PTA would like to acknowledge the work of the dedicated staff members who have gone above and beyond during this time, as well as those who are idled – the FQMS custodial and cafeteria staff, and the contract bus drivers. The PTA has set up a donation page through the Gifts of Gratitude program, which is the same one used for holiday donations. This is a convenient and completely voluntary way to express gratitude to the dedicated staff members and bus drivers who are working to ensure that the building is safe to return to, and those who take our kids to and from school every day but are currently not able to do so. Here’s how the Gifts of Gratitude Program works:
Due to the current situation, we are only collecting payment via PayPal, and there is a $3 processing fee added to online donations. The deadline for families to participate in this optional donation program is April 17. To get started, simply complete the online form. If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact Sonia Chapin at schapin@perpend.net. Thank you, Folly Quarter PTA The Falcon Legacy Brick Garden is the perfect opportunity to leave your mark at FQMS!
